Steuben County Legislator Hornell Republican Gary Swackhamer is not seeking re-election. This is big news, because Swackhamer was on the Steuben County Legislature for decades. He was also the county legislature’s majority leader for many years.
Running for the longtime Swackhamer seat, is Hornell Republican/5th ward Hornell Alderman, Dan Warriner. Warriner has been on the Hornell Common Council for eight years.
