From Dan Warriner: “I am excited to announce that I am seeking to represent the City of Hornell on the Steuben County Legislature. I have found representing the residents of the 5th Ward very rewarding, and I will continue to work hard to represent residents of the 5th Ward as alderman, while also providing a voice for the City of Hornell residents at the County level.
“I would like to thank the current legislator, Gary Swackhamer, for his many years representing Hornell. Gary has done a great job representing Hornell residents on county concerns, and I hope to provide that same strong voice residents expect.
“As a recently retired small business owner, I felt the time was right to expand in giving back to my community and to provide steady advocacy and a business perspective. My eight years on the Common Council, particularly in roles such as Chairman of the Finance and Quality of Life Committees, have provided me with valuable experience that will help me serve effectively at the County level.
“While I am running unopposed, I would like to encourage everyone to get out and vote. Early voting begins Saturday, October 25, at the Hornell Community Arts Center, and Election Day is Tuesday, November 4. I also ask the residents of the 5th Ward to please vote for both positions. I appreciate the support and look forward to continuing to serve the residents of this great community.”
