Arkport Republicans and Democrats held their caucuses this week: Democrats met Tuesday and the Republicans met Wednesday. Mayor George Prete is not running for mayor again, however, Democrat Village Trustee Patricia Amidon is going to run for mayor. Also, Democrats are running Tim Quinlan for trustee.
The Republicans nominated Carson Doorley to run for mayor, incumbent Ryan Beers and newcomer Eric Huey for village trustees in Arkport.
Village election day wil be on March 18.
