Hornell police reported back in August 2024 that gunshots were fired at a porch on Rockwell Avenue, Hornell. Last month, Michael Bloom Jr. of Hornell pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted criminal use of a firearm. The latest is Steuben County Assistant District Attorney Joan Mary says Bloom was sentenced on Friday to three and a half years in New York State Correctional Facility and five years post-release supervision.
