FROM ST. JAMES HOSPITAL: We are pleased to welcome Emilee Welton, DO, to St. James Hospital as a full-time Hospitalist. Dr. Welton will provide inpatient medical care to patients at St. James and collaborate with our multidisciplinary teams to support patients throughout their hospital stay. Dr. Welton completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Kettering Health Dayton, where she also served as Chief Resident. In this role, she was actively involved in medical education, including leading didactics and supporting the clinical education of third- and fourth-year medical students. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine and an Honors Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Niagara University, graduating cum laude with minors in Biology and Religious Studies. Dr. Welton also brings experience in clinical research and medical education, with presentations at the American College of Osteopathic Internists Conference and the Dayton Area Graduate Medical Education Community. Her work has earned recognition, including a first-place award for a case report presented at the American College of Osteopathic Internists Conference.
