Steuben County has welcomed two new probation officers to the Steuben County Probation Department, continuing the County’s commitment to providing experienced, dedicated professionals to serve the community.
John E. Myers, Badge 109, and Rachel N. Page, Badge 110, were officially sworn in on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 9 a.m. The ceremony was conducted by Hon. Steuben County Judge Mathew K McCarthy, with Craig Pomplas, Director of the Steuben County Probation Department, joining in welcoming the department’s newest members.
Myers brings extensive experience in corrections and public service to his new role. He previously served as an officer with both New York State Corrections and Steuben County Corrections. Public service is also a family tradition, as his father, Probation Officer Chris Myers, is a longtime career officer with the Steuben County Probation Department.
Page joins the Probation Department following her work with Steuben County Department of Social Services, where she served as a senior caseworker. Her experience working directly with individuals and families throughout the community will bring valuable knowledge and perspective to her new position.

The addition of Myers and Page strengthens a department whose work plays an important role in public safety, accountability and helping individuals successfully move forward in their lives.
Steuben County welcomes Officers Myers and Page to the Probation Department and wishes them both continued success as they begin this new chapter of their public service careers.
