ROCHESTER, NY – Sheriff Todd Baxter reports that a Monroe County Sheriff’s deputy was badly beaten up by a prisoner that the deputy was bringing a meal to, in the Monroe county jail. Prison photos show the prisoner on top of the deputy on the floor with his hands around her neck.
The prisoner, a 23 year old male is facing numerous charges including attempted strangulation.
Officials say the deputy almost passed out from the rear chokehold the prisoner put on her.
