STEUBEN COUNTY, NY – Sheriff Jim Allard says that last month, the sheriff’s department got a new K9, named Tripp, that was assigned to Deputy Erica McCoy for training for tracking and trailing certification.
K9 Tripp is named after Correction Officer Peggy Tripp, who worked as a Correction Officer for many years and sadly, Peggy Tripp died of cancer within a year of retirement. Deputy Erica McCoy and K9 Tripp are now working at both the Hornell and Arkport Schools.
