A New Problem For The Governor

May 11, 2021

There is a new problem for Governor Andrew Cuomo.  In October, the governor announced that New York State was going to put about dozens of million dollars towards addiction treatment.  About $30 million from a settlement by the state attorney general’s office against drug companies over opiods, was supposed to go towards drug treatment programs.  However, it did not work out that way.  The governor is accused of (and yesterday admitted to) putting most of that settlement money into the New York State general fund instead.
