FROM SENATOR GILLIBRAND: U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand released the following statement on the death of Sergeant Angel S. Rampersad, 28, of Ozone Park, New York. Sergeant Rampersad is believed to have lost her life during an Iranian attack at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. To honor Sergeant Rampersad’s service, Senator Gillibrand will request that flags be flown at half-mast over the Capitol today. “All New Yorkers mourn the tragic loss of Sergeant Angel Rampersad, who bravely served our nation. My prayers are with her family, loved ones, and unit during this time of profound grief. May her selfless service to our country and her enduring memory never be forgotten.”
