A Number Of Steuben Co A.D.A.s Are Studying At Syracuse Law School This Summer

July 30, 2025

A number of Steuben County Assistant District Attorneys are attending summer courses at the Syracuse Law School. According to Steuben County D.A. Brooks Baker, this is a program put on by the New York State District Attorneys Prosecutors Training Institute. Baker tells WLEA News that the institute was created by the New York State D.A.’s Association to provide support and continuing education for prosecutors across New York State. One interesting part of this program is, it’s given for free. “The D.A.’s Association pays for this, so it’s no cost to the taxpayers,” Baker explained. “They learn about things like trial tactics and changes in the law, and different areas of new issues in criminal law,” Baker stated.
