February 13, 2015

HORNELL, NY – Senators Schumer and Gillibrand announced this week that the Hornell Housing Authority will be getting $191,500 from Housing and Urban Development.

“I would like to thank both Senator Gillibrand and Senator Schumer for their continual advocacy on behalf of the Hornell Housing Authority and its residents. We are a small agency located in the Southern Tier that operates 158 elderly, disabled, and family units and serve the most vulnerable populations,” said Jason Sackett, Hornell Housing Authority Executive Director. “This funding will be critical addressing the backlog of our current capital needs, as well as ensure that the needs of those seeking affordable housing options in our area will be met for years to come.”
