ROCHESTER, NY – About two dozen lawsuits, mostly by John and Jane Does, were filed in Monroe County Court. The lawsuits were filed against numerous Rochester Catholic parishes and schools, including the Rochester Diocese, the Aquinas Institute in Rochester and St. Bernard Seminary. Also named in lawsuits, was Camp Stella Maris in Livonia, and two priests familiar to the area in the 1950’s, Father Norbert Nolan and Father Vincent Collins.
From what we’ve seen so far, the priest named in the most lawsuits, was the late Father Robert O’Neill.
