FROM ALFRED VILLAGE POLICE:
On 12/9/2023 around 8:00pm the Alfred Village Police Department reports the arrest of 25 year old Javon K Simon of the Bronx NY following an investigation into an altercation that happened on Main Street in the Village of Alfred. The investigation revealed that Simon allegedly broke into an apartment and forcibly stole property of another. Javon Simon was arrested and charged with Robbery in the 3rd Degree, Burglary in the 2nd degree, Grand Larceny in the 4th degree and Criminal Mischief, with intent to damage property. Due to the Current NYS bail reform plan, Simon was processed and released on appearance tickets, set to appear in Village Court on a later date.
