Alfred Police: An Update On The Glen Street Incident

FROM ALFRED POLICE SGT, OFFICER IN CHARGE, JOSHUA VAN SKIVER: The Alfred Police Department is currently conducting an active investigation into the death of an individual discovered on Wednesday June 4th, shortly after 2pm. Officers responded to the Maple Apartments, located at 30 Glen Street in the Village of Alfred, following a report of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, responders located a deceased 67-year-old female. The identity of the individual is being withheld at this time.

“Preliminary findings indicate that there is no evidence of criminal activity involved in this case”. The investigation remains open as officials await the results of an autopsy and further conduct an investigation.

On behalf of the Alfred Police Department “We extend our deepest sympathies to the individual’s family and friends”. The Alfred Police Dept also wants to reiterate that, “we believe that there is no threat to the public in reference to this isolated incident”.
