FROM ALFRED POLICE SGT JOSHUA VAN SKIVER: The Alfred Village Police Department wants to address the growing concern of a large police presence that was noted on Glen Street, on 6/4/2025 around 1400hrs in the Village of Alfred. The Alfred Police Department received a call of suspicious activity in that area. As a result of this call for service, the Alfred Police department is conducting a death investigation and are unable to comment further. At this stage, Officers are working to gather all relevant information. Further updates will be provided as they become available. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
The Alfred Police Department believes that this is an isolated incident and there is no public safety risk.
