ALFRED, NY – There were graduations at Alfred State College and Alfred U over the weekend. Dr Gary Ostrower is being credited with inspiring AU President Dr. Mark Zupan, helping righting an old wrong from the late 1950’s. It was during that pre-civil rights period, when an African American student named Warren Sutton, was driven out of the university, for dating a white girl.
This weekend, Dr. Mark Zupan awarded Warren Sutton with an honorary degree.
