WLEA News asked Alfred University if the Trump Administration’s policies about international students, was affecting A.U.
Here is the response from Alfred University spokesperson Mark Whitehouse:
“As of last week, we had 26 international prospective students who have been accepted and made deposits to secure a spot in our incoming Fall class. Of these at least 8 had secured a visa interview prior to the administration putting a pause on such interviews. We hope that the pause will not be too lengthy and will continue to work with each of the international student prospects to ensure that they complete their visa interviews and then can join us at Alfred University. Beyond the 26 international prospective student admits still awaiting interviews, 35 international admits have completed their interviews and are all set to join us this Fall.”
