From The Hornell School FB Page:

ALL SCHOOLS 3PK-12 MOVING TO REMOTE LEARNING ON DECEMBER 21
It is clear that COVID-19 is spreading in our school community. Given this and the impact it is having, the Hornell City School District will move all schools 3PK-12 to remote learning effective Monday, December 21.
During the past two days, more positive cases were identified, including a student at North Hornell, a student and employee at Bryant, and a student at the Intermediate School. Fortunately, the Intermediate School student was not present during the investigation period and thus there are no contacts. The student and adult contacts from North Hornell and Bryant have been notified and quarantined.
More positive student cases were identified yesterday at the High School as well. We have traced and contacted all known contacts to these cases and they are in quarantine.
Principals and teachers will be in touch with students in grades 3PK-6 on the schedules and the instructional plan for Monday through Wednesday. In general, A day students will receive live remote instruction from their teachers on Monday, while B day students follow their typical remote day schedule. On Tuesday, B day students will receive live remote instruction from their teachers, while A day students follow their typical remote day schedule. On Wednesday, all students will participate in their usual remote instruction. If materials need to be sent home, drivers will be available to make deliveries.
Meals are already going home to some families, but we also will have breakfast and lunch available for pick up from 10: 30-11: 30 am Monday through Wednesday of next week at each building.
We plan to return to our hybrid schedule on Monday, January 4.
