ALLEGANY COUNTY, NY – On December 13, 2021 at 2:45 P.M., Troopers out of SP Amity responded to a one vehicle collision on County Route 9 in the town of Scio. Further investigation revealed that the 2013 Chrysler was traveling south bound and exited the roadway on the east shoulder striking a group of trees. The vehicle came to rest overturned and the operator and only occupant in the vehicle, Edward D. Linnecke Jr., 30 of Scio was deceased. Allegany County Coroner pronounced Linnecke at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled at Olean General Hospital.
This is still an ongoing investigation.
