Allegany Co Public Health Is Getting Swamped With Phone Calls About Covid

News Release: Asking Allegany County Residents to Assist the Allegany County Department of Health

Belmont, NY – The Allegany County Department of Health is asking the public to please be patient while we work on the increase in COVID-19 telephone calls. To answer some of the questions, here is some general information:

1. Remember to get vaccinated, encourage others to get vaccinated, wear your mask, wash your hands, social distance, limit your travel, and limit your social gatherings. Help keep Allegany County residents safe and healthy.

2. Feeling sick? Have symptoms of COVID-19? Have you been exposed to a person who is positive for COVID-19? PLEASE STAY HOME and keep anyone else in your household home. Even if you or they are vaccinated for COVID-19, you may need to be tested for COVID-19, isolated, or quarantined. Call the Allegany County Department of Health at 585-268-9250 and press #4. Leave a message and please be patient; we will call you back.

o If you are waiting for isolation or quarantine orders by email and do not see them, check your junk email or spam email.

3. Check the Allegany County website to get answers at www.alleganyco.com if you have access to the internet. On the main page, you will find a blue box titled Quick Links and COVID-19 Information including COVID-19 vaccination clinic dates and links to register for an appointment, the COVID-19 data dashboard, and the COVID-19 vaccination survey.
