A house on Canisteo Street in Hornell, is being condemned and all occupants are being ordered to be out of that house by Thursday, August 27 – or else they will be evicted by the Hornell Police Department. This was announced by Mayor John Buckley at this morning’s Public Safety meeting at 9am. At the beginning of the meeting, there was a special Nuisance Law Hearing, during which, the eviction announcement was made. Police Chief Ted Murray, Mayor Buckley and others agreed for the need to post signs, including “No Trespassing” signs, are going to be posted.
In other Hornell news, Department of Public Works Chief Mitch Cornish says that coming up at the end of the month of September, the following streets will be paved:
East Washington Street
Genesee Street
Collier Street
Cameron Avenue
South Division Street
School Street
Disposal Lane
