Andover Man Accused of Speeding/Swerving Into Deputy’s Vehicle

YORK, NY – Livingston County Sheriff Tom Dougherty reports the arrest of a 31 year old Andover man, Charles Buchholz. Officials say that Buchholz was speeding (55 mph in a 40 mph zone, according to a deputy). Buchholz is also accused of swerving into Deputy Morgan’s lane as their vehicles approached each other.

It was also alleged that Buchholz was texting on his cell phone while he was driving the vehicle. Buchholz was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Speeding, and Illegal Use of a Cell Phone While Driving.

Buchholz was remanded to the custody of Sheriff Doughtery, $1,500 cash and $3,000 bond for bail.
