COHOCTON, NY – This past Thursday, several members of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office did an interagency D.W.I Mock Drill for the Wayland-Cohocton Senior Class. This was on Mill Street in Cohocton and it was a mock two-vehicle head on crash.
Steuben County District Attorney Brooks Baker was there to explain to the students, what happens in these situations, when it’s a real life thing.
After the mock crash, Investigator Dean Swan, and county 9-1-1 Dispatcher Kim Clark, spoke to students about making good driving choices. Dispatcher Kim Clark also spoke on what it was like to lose her oldest daughter, Emilee in a fatal car accident.
