Area Residents Make A Trip To Vietnam Wall In Washington

April 28, 2022

WASHINGTON, DC – From Hornell resident Kimbee Wood:

After 10 months of planning, fund raising, and spreading the word, the Hornell VFW Post 2250, took Vietnam Veterans, and/or their spouses or family members to Washington DC, to see the Vietnam Memorial as well as the World War II memorial, the Korean War memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Navy Memorial & Museum. It was the VFW’s way of thanking the Vietnam veterans and letting them know they were not forgotten. The best part, was they didn’t have to pay to go. All monies were raised so, the veterans didn’t have to pay for the trip.

They left Tuesday morning and arriving home late Wednesday night.
