FROM THE HORNELL SPORTS NIGHT COMMITTEE: “This year we are pleased to announce the 49th Annual Sport Night Rawlings Female Athlete of the Year is Arkport-Canaseraga’s ! Payton is a multi-year winner of the all-Steuben County team in basketball and had a double-double in almost every single game and led A-C to regular and postseason Steuben County championships. She’s a two-time Steuben County MVP, Haverling and Keshequa Tournament MVP and played in the off-season for the Rochester Royals AAU All-Star team. Her varsity career started in 8th grade when she was called up. Payton followed in her mom’s footsteps in athletics and now, she wants to be like her aunt and grandmother as a Nurse Practitioner for family practice. “
