Wlea News recently caught up with Arkport Central School Superintendent Jesse Harper, and asked him four questions, regarding school buses, diesel and electric, possible money coming into the school district from a wind project in the area, and we asked about Arkport Central’s School budget plans.
Here are the answers we got, from Superintendent Jesse Harper:
1. Arkport will be purchasing two diesel buses.
2. Arkport has made no plans to purchase electric buses. We are currently conducting the NYS-required feasibility study for electric buses.
3. We have not received a final figure for the Wind farm’s PILOT.
Arkport’s final budget number will not be available until the middle of April
