Arkport, NY – After the final state aid numbers are in the Arkport Board of Education decided it could lower the tax levy from the original 2.43% that voters agreed to going just below 2.0%. Board President Steve Hoyt was all about the reduction and for the Star Program recipients getting their full rebate, “ To me that’s doing the best thing for our tax payers, were not jeopardizing our funding because we don’t know what next year will bring.”
