24 year old Thomas Stark, of East William Street Extension, Bath is in Steuben County Jail now and being held without bail. Sheriff Jim Allard says it’s alleged that Stark struck and choked a person and fired a rifle round inside the residence, while near someone. The sheriff also says that deputies went in to Stark’s place on Wednesday, April 5, with a search warrant, and report that they found five rifles and shotguns. Deputies charged Stark with 3rd degree Assault, 3rd degree criminal mischief, 2nd degree strangulation and five counts of 4th degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon. Officials also say that there were three lambs and four dogs inside the residence. Bath Dog Control is taking care of the dogs and the Hornell Humane Society is in taking care of the lambs.
The sheriff also reports that on Tuesday, deputies arrested 35 year old Ryan Harris of Balls Park, Addison, following an investigation of a reported menacing in the Town of Tuscarora. Harris allegedly threatened to assault several people with a machete and also allegedly drove recklessly on Sullivan Road in Tuscarora. Harris was charged with 2nd degree menacing, 2nd degree criminal Mischief, 4th degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Reckless Driving. Harris was arraigned in the Centralized Court and released.
