Bath Man Pleaded Guilty To Federal Child Pornography Charges

September 27, 2021

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that Jeffrey Clark, 35, of, Bath NY, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Charles J. Siragusa to two counts of distributing child pornography. The charges carry a minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum penalty of 40 years, and a $500,000 fine.

Assistant U.S. Attorney John J. Field, who is handling the case, stated that the defendant was observed by an undercover FBI agent distributing child pornography online. A search warrant was executed at Clark’s residence during which investigators seized thousands of files containing images and videos of child pornography. The images included violence against young children. The defendant also admitted to the FBI that he had physically molested a minor victim on several occasions, which resulted in separate state charges.

The plea is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, acting under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Stephen Belongia.

Sentencing is scheduled for January 7, 2022, at 11:00 am before Judge Siragusa
