The annual Battle of Lain’s Mill Civil War Reenactment returns to Lain’s Cider Mill on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8, on Lain Road, in the Town of Canisteo. History comes to life once again as the annual Battle of Lain’s Mill Civil War Reenactment returns to Lain’s Cider Mill on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8, located at 6252 Lain Road, Canisteo, NY 14823. For over 20 years, this immersive event has been proudly hosted by the Lain Family and the 21st Georgia Infantry, Reenactment Unit, offering a whole weekend of living history. Guests can expect: Authentic battle reenactments each day beginning at 1:00 PM…Educational talks and demonstrations throughout the day…Historic Sutler’s Row featuring period-style vendors…A lunch counter offering food and refreshments…Open camp access – visitors are welcome to walk through the encampments and talk with reenactors…This family-friendly event is a unique opportunity to connect with America’s past and experience the sights, sounds, and stories of the Civil War era.
