Because Of The Severe Cold Weather, Arkport Central Superintendent Harper Offers Bus Rides To Students Who Walk

January 20, 2025

Dear ACS Parents and Guardians,
Over the next two days, the weather forecast predicts very cold temperatures. To ensure the safety of all Arkport students, the district would like to share a few steps we are taking to prepare:
Our bus drivers are instructed to stop and pick up any students walking to school, regardless of the distance, when temperatures are unusually low.
The district is happy to provide transportation for any student who typically walks, at the request of a parent or guardian. If you would like this service on Tuesday or Wednesday, please complete the form linked below. Once the buses complete their regular routes, they will pick up your student.
All outdoor recesses will be moved indoors to keep students warm and comfortable.
We appreciate your attention to these updates and are committed to keeping our students safe during the cold weather.
