Biker In Long Island Goes Over 100 MPH In Downstate Chase

LONG ISLAND, NY – State Police report that this morning, just after 9:30am, they tried to pull over a man on a motorcycle in the Long Island Town of Babylon. According to state troopers, the man’s original offense, was only that he had been riding in between broken lane lines. Troopers say that when they tried to stop him, the man then took off, going up to 110 mph, in an attempt to get away from the state police.

Troopers say they were able to catch up with the speeding biker eventually, and found that the 34 year old Bay Shore man is facing numerous charges, including unlawful possession of marijuana, reckless endangerment, 2nd degree, and unlawful fleeing of a police officer, 3rd degree.
