HORENELL, NY – At the City of Hornell Board of Public Works meeting Thursday morning, the City accepted a bid from LeChase Construction to build the new bath house and locker rooms adjacent to the pool at Veterans Memorial Park. Construction is expected to be completed in May.
During the meeting, the Board of Public Works accepted applications from Maple City Softball to use city fields, from the Hornell YMCA for their annual Run for the Shamrock, and for the Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
There was also an update on the house that BOCES is building on Upper Bennett Street. The house is almost completed on the exterior, and the city believes that they will be able to start auctioning the house in March or April.
