29 year old Brett Heffner of Corning will be in Corning City Court on Thursday at 10:30am. A court official says that Heffner’s attorney, David Kang out of Rochester, is asking for a preliminary hearing for Heffner, and that’s the reason for Heffner’s court appearance being changed to Thursday at 10:30. Heffner is accused of 2nd degree murder, and is accused of stealing the victim’s car afterwards. The murder victim, 26 year old Keli Collins of Corning, was found dead in her apartment early Friday morning in the 1am hour. Heffner was arrested an hour later.
