Brooks Baker: Nine Drug Arrests Made – Nine More To Come

June 7, 2018

The Steuben County District Attorneys Office, lead by the Bath Village Police Department, along with the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and Corning Police, made over half a dozen arrests today. Officials say that four suspects from Bath, two suspects from Rochester, two from Campbell and one from Corning, are accused of selling drugs in Bath. Steuben County D.A. Brooks Baker tells Wlea News, that it’s not over yet. “We had nine arrests that were a product of 26 indictments, and we have nine more warrants out there,” Baker said. The D.A. compared the arrest sweep in Bath to a recent string of arrests in Hornell (those arrests happened on March 1, in Hornell). Bath Village Police Chief Chad Mullen says it was called “Operation Safe Summer”. Mullen told Wlea News, that “that’s the reason why we’re out here, to make the community safer.”

Mullen says that most of the drugs were crack cocaine, and heroin, and that there were some prescription pills too.
