HORNELL, NY – Hornell Mayor John Buckley appointed 1st Ward Alderman Mellisa Ponticello to head the Finance Committee Wednesday morning. Ponticello is in her 2nd term on the Common Council and looks forward to dealing with numbers in the city’s budget. According to Buckley, Ponticello has the skill set for the position having been impressive on the Finance Committee in the past and also the fact that she has worked in the banking business over 20 years.
