Hornell Mayor John Buckley is calling on Governor Hochul and the State Legislature to finally increase AIM funding for cities and villages. “It is a travesty that AIM funding has not been increased in 13 years. Adjusted for inflation, cities like Hornell have actually lost 24% of funding over time. Meanwhile, the Governor and Legislature continue to increase school funding year after year while cities and villages are left behind. Just as inflation is negatively impacting wallets and pocketbooks of residents, it is wreaking havoc on municipal budgets.”
