Hornell Mayor John Buckley, who was recently appointed to the New York Conference of Mayor’s Executive Committee, wasted no time at NYCOM’s Winter Legislative meeting as he introduced a resolution to oppose the proposed cut to CHIPS funding in the Governor’s budget.
“I’m urging each city, village, and town to consider passing a resolution to not only oppose any cut to crucial road and highway funding, but to advocate for annual increases to offset inflationary costs. This is a time for local governments to show solidarity and send a strong message to Albany.”
