HORNELL, NY – Hornell Police are reporting that there was a chase last night, that went from Cottage Avenue, to Loder Street. Police say, the situation began with a phone call about a fight on Cottage Avenue. The police pursuit of the suspect, was both in cars, and on foot. According to officials with the Hornell Police Dept, the suspect, Lorenzo Romaine, 27, of Woodlawn Avenue Buffalo, had an illegal handgun and some cocaine on him, when he was captured. Romaine is facing numerous charges, including driving under the influence of drugs and unlawfully fleeing a police officer.
Additional arrests are expected.
