FROM SHERIFF JIM ALLARD: Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on October 10, 2024, deputies arrested Ivan E. Caparulo, age 41, of Cameron North Jasper Road, Cameron, New York, following an investigation of a reported structure fire in the Town of Cameron. It is alleged that Mr. Caparulo unlawfully possessed a rifle and a pistol and acted in a manner likely to be injurious to a person under the age of 17. Mr. Caparulo was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Mr. Caparulo was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
