FROM STEUBEN CO: Eric Rose, Commissioner of the Steuben County Department of Public Works, has announced that the bridge on County Route 119 (short 119) over the Canisteo River, located between State Route 36 and County Route 128 (Canisteo – Canisteo Center Road) in the Town of Canisteo, will be closed to all through traffic on Monday, October 7th and Tuesday, October 8th, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The closure is necessary to perform structural maintenance work on the bridge, identified as Bridge No. 119-01 (BIN 3334380).
There will be no on-site detour during the closure period. Motorists are advised to plan accordingly and seek alternate routes.
The Department of Public Works appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as this essential maintenance is completed.
