CANISTEO, NY – The Canisteo Greenwood School district will use excess capital project funds to upgrade practice fields. Money was originally budgeted for this but the school board held off until all other major work was complete and they were sure they would have sufficient funds. The total cost for the renovations will be $500,000. Palotti noted that they have around $800,000 left over from the original budget and will still have substantial reserves left when this project is complete.

In other news the district will be conducting a Summer Professional Development program where teachers will be meeting throughout the summer with educational advisors to upgrade and improve the curriculum for the 2015-16 school years.
