CANISTEO, NY – Statement From The Canisteo Police Department:
Over this past weekend in joint effort of the Canisteo Village Police Department and the New York State Police-North Hornell led to the arrest of six different subjects for felony drug related and weapon related charges in the Village of Canisteo. During the investigation police located a Ruger .22 caliber rifle in be in possession of a convicted felon. Police also located an illegal High Point Assault rifle and a loaded Taurus .357 Magnum handgun. All Drug Charges stemmed from locating these subjects in possession of Crystal Meth, Heroin and/or Marijuana. The following subjects were arrested during this investigation:
Donald C. Strope (Age 31) of William Street in Addison, NY was arrested and charged with 3 Counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a weapon in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of an assault weapon in the 3rd Degree, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, Operating with Improper Plates and an Exhaust Violation. Strope was arraigned in Canisteo Village Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $100,000.00 cash / $200,000.00 property.
Tyrand T. Scott (Age 29) of Sly Avenue in Corning, NY was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. Scott was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Canisteo Village Court at a later date.
Lee E. Richeson (Age 57) of Eighth Street in Canisteo, NY was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree. Richeson was arraigned in Canisteo Village Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 cash / $20,000.00 property.
Jesse E. Tomlinson (Age 28) of Gosper Road in Addison, NY was arrested and charged for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree. Tomlinson was arraigned in Canisteo Village Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail with no bail.
Zachary W. Pecor (Age 36) of Gosper Road in Addison, NY was arrested and charged for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Pecor was arraigned in Canisteo Village Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail with no bail.
Deeana M. Brewer (Age 24) of Gosper Road in Addison, NY was arrested and charged for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree. Brewer was arraigned in Canisteo Village Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 cash / $100,000.00 property.
