UPDATE: Officials say, the Mercury Mountaineer is believed to be the suspect’s vehicle.
FROM THE CANISTEO PD: The Canisteo Police Department is working with partnering agencies in regards to the recent larcenies. If you have any information you feel would be helpful with locating the vehicle, or individuals involved in this matter, please do not hesitate to contact the Canisteo Police Department. I would recommend anyone in the area of Seventh Street, South Elm Street and East Academy/Greenwood Street area check on your garages/properties to ensure your belongings are accounted for. Also if you have photo or video footage of these individuals you can email it to Jgiglio@villageofcanisteo.com
If you do have cameras, ring doorbells, etc. If you check those items and see what appears to be a White Buick Mountaineer with a black trailer attached to the vehicle and can provide this information to law enforcement, it would be extremely helpful. Something you may think is not helpful may actually help this investigation. All agencies are working hard to locate the individuals responsible for their actions.
