At the Tuesday night Canisteo Village board meeting, a resolution was passed to prohibit the use of cannabis, smoking or vaping in or around village parks, bus stops or village properties.
Also a concerned citizen brought up her concerns regarding loose dogs in the village and how she and her dog were recently attacked by two loose dogs while on a walk. The board ensures her that they do their best to strictly enforce the leash law and if anyone is ever encountered by a loose dog showing aggressive behaviors to please call 911 immediately.
