At the Monday night Canisteo Town Hall meeting, the town board voted unanimously to hire Cindie Harrington as the new secretary to the town supervisor. Cindie Harrington will be paid $4,000 a year. Also, there’s a meeting tomorrow between the Canisteo Town Board and the Local 317 teamsters who make up the Canisteo Town Highway Department. A mediator will be there to help them work out an agreement, as the town highway crew have been working without a contract for a year now.
