Steuben County District Attorney Brooks Baker reports, that April Simms, 55, of Avoca, is accused of tampering with evidence and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to the D.A., April Simms tried to hide and destroy evidence to protect someone living in her residence, someone who was allegedly making child pornography and raping someone under the age of 17, in that child pornography.
District Attorney Baker also says, April Simms has pleaded not guilty.
There may be more charges in this case.
