Child Reportedly Gets Sick From THC In A Brownie In Yates County

In Yates County, the sheriff’s Department reports the arrest of two adults, ages 38 and 40, who reportedly allowed a young girl to eat a brownie with THC in it.  Officials say, the girl got very sick.  The 38 year old woman and the 40 year old man, are each charged with endangering the welfare of a child.  The incident is alleged to have happened on September 8 and the two suspects were charged this past Friday.

Press Release: YATES COUNTY DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO THE REPORT OF A JUVENILE FEMALE THAT WAS EXPERIENCING AN UNKNOWN MEDICAL CONDITION. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT MS. HADLEY AND MR. KLAPP ALLOWED A JUVENILE FEMALE TO EAT A BROWNIE CONTAINING THE PSYCHOACTIVE COMPOUND THC. THE JUVENILE FEMALE WAS CHECKED OVER AT THE SCENE WITH A SIGN OFF. UPON COMPLETION OF THE INVESTIGATION, MS. HADLEY AND MR. KLAPP WERE ARRESTED AND ISSUED AN APPEARANCE TICKET TO APPEAR IN THE TOWN OF BARRINGTON COURT AT A LATER DATE TO ANSWER TO THE ABOVE CHARGE.
