FREMONT, NY – From State Police:
On January 9, 2021, the New York State Police assigned to the Wayland barracks investigated a rollover accident on State Route 21 in Fremont. No injuries were reported, but the highway was closed to traffic for the safety of emergency personnel. While monitoring traffic, a blue truck was observed operating erratically, driven around fire personnel, and refusing to comply with traffic controls. Troopers located the vehicle after the incident and identified the operator as twenty-eight-year-old Damian L. Koerner of Cohocton, NY. Subsequent to the investigation, Koerner was found in possession of approximately three pounds of marihuana, a quarter pound of hallucinogenic mushrooms, Adderall pills, THC wax, and suspected LSD.
Koerner was arrested and charged with the traffic violations and the following Penal Law charges and NYS Parole was advised and issued a warrant for violating his parole.
